The Challenge

The family owned, artisan tea and coffee roaster sell its provenance-focused products through three main channels; its own coffee shop chain, third party retailers and B2B. Customer needs are changing and big global coffee chains are entering the market. Develop new and innovative experiences that differentiate and help the business to continue to grow.

The Idea

A series of design solutions that create brilliant customers experiences starting at a pre-order app and stretching to flexible and modular pre-fabricated express formats.

The barista-serviced counter is transported to its site in a shipping container. A self-service B2B ‘Plug & Play’ solution responds to the insatiable need for quality coffee. And finally, a totally new format leverages the affinity between coffee and alcohol with organic wine at its centre.
