Located in one of London’s busiest and most high-profile destinations, Game Nation’s new Chinatown flagship needed to deliver a high-energy, guest-first entertainment experience that stood out in a competitive leisure environment. The ambition was to create a venue that felt vibrant, youthful and entertainment-led, while remaining comfortable, safe and welcoming for every guest.
The space needed to balance multiple objectives: generating a strong social atmosphere with an unmistakable entertainment buzz, creating relaxed and comfortable areas to encourage longer stays, and carefully zoning high-energy gaming areas alongside quieter, more laid-back spaces. The design also needed to showcase the full range of machines and games through integrated digital messaging, lighting, sound and sensory elements. All of this had to be delivered within a tight nine-week on-site programme — while the venue remained open and trading throughout the works.
Working in close collaboration with Game Nation, M Worldwide delivered a fully integrated brand and architectural solution that transformed the venue into a dynamic flagship destination. Led by Managing Partner David Martin, the project built on a deep understanding of the brand, drawing from previous successful locations including the Tottenham milestone concept (2022).
M Worldwide provided a complete end-to-end design approach, including brand experience design, architectural design (interior and exterior), zoning, flow and spatial planning, lighting design and digital integration, brand communications and signage, and full specification of materials, finishes, fixtures and furniture (FF&E). The result is a high-impact, entertainment-driven environment that enhances guest experience, strengthens brand presence, and performs operationally — delivered on time within a live trading setting.
