Thrilled to see Newcastle Building Society, Monument branch brought to life
It was a real pleasure to visit the newly opened Monument branch of Newcastle Building Society in the heart of Newcastle, and to see the tangible results of our strategy, design, and customer experience work come to life.
Set within a beautifully restored, 200-year-old Grade II-listed building on Grainger Street, this impressive 10,000 sq. ft. space spans five floors. It’s been reimagined not just as a place for financial services, but as a vibrant community hub at the heart of the city.
The branch has been designed to serve and grow the Society’s customer base while actively nurturing colleagues – with upper floors dedicated to co-working, meetings, training, and events. Just as importantly, it provides several inclusive, flexible spaces for local charities, community groups, and partners to connect and collaborate in a meaningful way.
Huge credit to the whole team for delivering this with such commitment, creativity, and care. A fantastic example of purpose-led design in action—well done all!
